The purchase of this class includes an annual membership to SEAS Morris.
Online (Zoom) classroom session:
June 17 & 19
Water sessions (Budd Lake): June 21 & 22
· Learn to sail on small single and multiple-sail boats with certified instructors
· Successful students receive a SEAS Basic Sailing Certificate and current year membership in SEAS Morris
· Membership provides access to scheduled practice sails throughout the season, as well as many other benefits!
· Course schedule includes 5 hours of virtual instruction over 2 evening sessions plus 16 hours of supervised sailing on Budd Lake over a weekend.
· PREREQUISITES: No prior sailing experience necessary. Minimum 12 years old; students under 18 must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Students must weigh at least 85 lbs. and be able to tread water or float for 5 minutes without a PFD (lifejacket). Each student must bring their own PFD to water sessions.
Refund requests submitted 3 weeks prior to the first Zoom session will receive a full refund less a $25 fee OR a full credit for a future class. Cancellations less than 3 weeks prior to the first Zoom session are not eligible for a refund, but will receive a full credit for a future class. Credit is not transferable to other SEAS chapters.
